General Feedback

He was so helpful, kind and patient on the phone to me and had some good ideas and comments.  It certainly helped me at a moment when I was feeling enormusly desperate and so needed an ear.  He was that angel who gave me positive things to think about and do. Thank you again Jaco!
Kind regards, Regine Craythorne

Dear Jaco, I just want to thank you for working with me. Going through a very dark period in my life, I was seeing things as if there is no way out, and I just accepted what life had thrown at me. By talking to you I started seeing my life as a challenge, and I realised that I do have the power to change things, I do not have to accept everything lying down. Just by talking about things and changing the way I think about things, I started seeing solutions that I never would have thought possible.

I still can not belief that just talking to someone else about some problems can put it in an altogether new perspective. Avenues of new thought just seemed to open up by talking to you, and problems that I could not get my head around seems to disappear just by changing the thought direction. And it is amazing that the solution is often such a simple one.

For the first time in a very long long time I am positive and I feel better about myself and my circumstances, Talking to you helped me to open up my mind and stear myself into a new direction. Since we started with the sessions 3 weeks ago, I started looking for a new job, made arrangements for classes in jewellery making, and I got my husband to join a friend circle in Scotland, with the option of another so we can broaden our horizons even further. We also started making plans for a visit to South Africa. So instead of just sitting at home, brooding about things, I started with planning. I took my fate in my own hands and I started doing things to change the direction my life is going. I had the guts to open my mouth and stand up for myself, as I came to the realisation that I too have rights, and I owe it to myself to be happy. Without you to guide me and help me with sorting out my jumbled thoughts, I never would have had the guts or the vision to try and change my life, I just would have carried on and hoped that things might change one day.

Working with you was really a wonderful experience. I just want to thank you and the Leap in Life group for the positive support and guidance that you provide. You really do a superb job, and I wish you all the best in the future of guiding others like me.

Kind regards

I enjoyed looking through your leapinlife-coaching.com  website.  It contains much helpful material and is written in a welcoming manner ~ unlike some sites!  I was particularly intrigued to see If among your Seven most important words in  Coaching.  We too have used Kipling’s other six words from his poem The Elephant Child, to frame the underlying purposes of research design.

The word IF introduces another dimension to analytical thinking that we had not considered.  Shosh will be intrigued by this and I am sure that we will include it in the next edition.  So ~ thanks, Jaco and Andries!

Dear Jaco,

Just to say thank you very much for the life coaching sessions. My first session helped me to identify what it is I really love doing, from a whole list of ideas and priorities I’d had that had been making it difficult for me to make any decisions. By clarifying my thinking in this way and encouraging me to focus on what’s important to me, it gave me the confidence to start a part-time course to develop the creative skills that I love – so much so that even after a long day at work I’ve found myself sometimes bouncing around the house with excitement about it. I was worried about fitting in study with work and family commitments and being too tired, but the unexpected result of finally making time to do something that I’m passionate about has been to bring an injection of energy so that being busier, I’ve actually got a whole lot more energy and enthusiasm for life than when I had more leisure time.

The physical energy session was also really useful, and I came away with a practical action plan. Having an hour to stop and look at your lifestyle with somebody to help you to assess it is an unusual luxury for most of us, I guess, and it made me examine the kinds of life habits that I wasn’t really conscious of. Given this time to look at specific areas of lifestyle and stress management, and the ways these can affect your physical energy levels, I was able to see some of the ways I’ve been cutting corners with my health, and the coaching gave me some tools to tackle this.

Very best wishes,
Helen.

I approached Jaco Beukes 3 months ago for some coaching. It was at a time in my life where I was frustrated with my job. I knew I wanted to move on and do something completely diiferent but I was stuck as to what the next step was.

Through Jaco’s coaching I was able to untangle the ideas in my head, make some key decisions about my future employment and set the appropriate goals to reach my dream job. The life coaching I receieved from Jaco was very empowering and I am now in the process of setting up my own social enterprise business.
